Rome, Italy & Tilburg, Netherlands; 4 February 2026: Dutch blackgaze outfit Noctambulist will release via These Hands Melt their 2021 debut “Noctambulist I: Elegieën” on vinyl for the very first time.

Originally released in 2021 through Northern Silence Productions, “Elegieën” established itself as a landmark in the post-black evolution, defined by its blunt, ferocious, and euphoric attitude paired with consistently inspired songwriting. Now, five years after its initial arrival, the album is finally being presented on the format for which it was originally intended.

The limited-edition reissue is pressed on transparent green vinyl and includes a printed insert. Mastered for the format by Dennis Blomberg with design and layout by tryfar, the records are expected to ship in mid-to-late February.

The band commented: "Conceived at the dawn of a global pandemic, shelved for a year, born into a locked-down world; Noctambulist I: Elegieën has been marred by delay time and again. Now, upon its fifth anniversary, Noctambulist are proud and relieved to finally offer our debut record on vinyl through the efforts and grace of These Hands Melt. Finally pressed on the medium for which it was destined, we hope you can fully experience the fruits of our labour anew. Even five years down the road, the songs in this collection still ring true. At least to us, they do".

Noctambulist are an atmospheric post-black metal outfit from Tilburg, the Netherlands. Formed in 2015 between housemates J.D. Kaye, Sam C.A. and Mitchell Scheerder, they set out to create a hard-hitting, melancholic style of black metal that draws inspiration from other genres such as post-rock, shoegaze, new wave and post-punk. Noctambulist stand for contrasts. Serotonin summits and strung-out canyons. The empty and the grandiose. The beautiful and the appalling.

After defining their sound and completing the lineup with guitarists Tristan Tabbers and Stef Heesakkers, they released their full-length debut “Noctambulist I: Elegieën” via Northern Silence Productions. Their second album, “Noctambulist II: De Droom”, was released through These Hands Melt in February 2025, and saw the band dive deeper into post-punk and shoegaze influences while retaining the fierceness of their debut record Elegiëen.
