"Do you see our cities? Our constant struggle to earn a place in the front row and admire the glory of the powerful? Then pull your eyes out and look at what we truly are: we are the dream of a dying god".
This is where the anticipations of the dystopian universe of “Il mondo aldilà”, the new concept album by INSANIA.11, lay deep.
It portrays a society where technological progress imposed a rigid discipline upon humanity that reduced human beings to a state of alienating servitude. The story unfolds through the eyes of a spiritual movement developed in this surreal reality. By using psychedelic drugs, the followers of this subversive cult force open the boundaries between the physical world and the astral plane.
The distortion of reality thins the veil separating humanity’s confined existence from other realms, making their perception possible. Fragile and undefined in some of these worlds, a clarified essence of our chronicle reflect a heightened and distorted version of our own reality, while others echo memories of ancient myths acknowledged in our childhood. Some are worlds of prisons, others are worlds of theshold and of a transition from embryo to chrysalis to butterfly. A flutter of wings that shakes the structure of reality itself.
“Il mondo aldilà” is a complex and nerdy work that plunges the listener’s ear labyrinths into the labyrinth of the film The Shining. It’s like a Rubik’s Cube of extreme metal that dismantles and reassembles death metal, black metal and progressive sound to serve its narrative by challenging both ears and mind. This is a multidimensional object whose most recognizable reflections recall Death, Coroner, Necrophagist and Necrophobic.
Bleak, claustrophobic, razor-sharp and liberating, “Il mondo aldilà” is now available on all digital platforms. Physical copies are available on Bandcamp.
