Industrial Punk Newcomers GLDN Announce Summer Tour!

Brooklyn-based industrial punk newcomers GLDN will be hitting the road this summer for the first time ever. The tour kicks off on June 28 in Virginia and will find the band visiting cities in the Northeast US. Founding member and the band’s namesake, Nicholas Golden said:

“This has been something we’ve wanted to do for quite some time,” Golden said of the tour. “We’re looking forward to sharing the pain and suffering with as many people as possible. Hopefully, it can be as much of a cathartic experience for the people watching as it is for us on stage.”

In February, the band released the first single from their as-yet-untitled upcoming album. The track, titled “Hole,” was a hard-hitting exploration of despair and acceptance. “Once you’re in that darkness long enough, it can become almost comforting. You start to see the beauty in the pain,” Golden comments. “And in the end, there’s a sort of acceptance that you will never be the person you were again. In that acceptance, there is freedom to be someone new.”

GLDN was founded in 2017 by mastermind Nicholas Golden. For two years, Golden expanded on his experience as a performer, perfecting his art. In 2019, he began to search for live members to bring his music to the stage. GLDN draws musical and thematic influences from bands like NINE INCH NAILS, KORN, EVANESCENCE, DEFTONES, ROB ZOMBIE, PANTERA, HOLE, and PUSCIFER, but also films, such as the dark and legendary Suspiria. Delving deeper into the self-affirming gloom, conjuring up the macabre and the diabolic, GLDN exposes the monstrous concepts that are so often hidden from view. Through extreme manipulation of music, GLDN explores themes of life, death, love, hate, and everything in between.
