Icantdie release Teaser on 8 September 2023!

Much-rated South Wales post-hardcorers ICANTDIE will unleash their ferocious new EP, Errors, on Friday 17th November. The potent three-piece have also just revealed their breathtaking brand new single and video, Teaser, https://youtu.be/bB72GbL2UNY .

Fronted by Kyle Smith (Lead Vocals and Guitar), ICANTDIE have been brewing for a number of years. Kyle always wanted to craft a sound that pulled in from Billy Talent, Everytime I Die, and Dillinger Escape Plan, with the added power trio vibe of Muse and Biffy Clyro. Focusing on dispatching music that was both heavy and accessible was key to Kyle’s early manifesto. By enlisting Gav Burrough (Funeral For a Friend) to help with production and also provide guitar, bass and vocals, a standout debut EP entitled Transition/Merger was produced. The release racked up positive responses and assisted in recruiting Adam Kerslake (drums) and Sam Bennet (bass) as permanent members.

Countless rehearsals, endless writing sessions, and a plethora of successful live shows soon followed as word about the band increased. ICANTDIE then headed to the studio to work on their next EP, Doppelganger. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Todd Campbell (Straight Lines, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons), the release dropped in 2019 and placed the trio on the map. Additional shows proceeded and ICANTDIE’s rising profile was aided immensely by sharing dates with the likes of Haggard Cat, The Hell, Raiders, And so I watch you from afar, As Everything Unfolds and Thiscityisours.

With the build on, ICANTDIE again headed back to the studio with Todd Campbell, where the stout alt-rockers collaborated with Sean Smith (Raiders & Ex The Blackout vocalist) on the track, Counter. Released during the pandemic, the single gained critical success, including radio airplay on BBC Radio Wales and Primordial Radio. As live music returned, ICANTDIE continued to lay siege to venues throughout the land with their energetic live set, culminating with the band’s biggest show to date occurring at Cardiff’s Throwfest 2022, supporting the likes of Continents, Lake Malice, Saint Agnes, Monuments, Dream State and more.

With their live reputation stronger than ever, the trio focused on their next EP. After many months of work, ICANTDIE have finally completed work on their hotly tipped new EP, Errors. The record is a masterful piece of ultra engaging post-hardcore. Kyle Smith comments: “Errors is our darkest and most chaotic release yet. The past few years we’ve always given our songs names that end in the letters “ER”. This represents the ‘Errors’ that I see in myself mentally and physically. It allowed me to be more open and also angrier with myself”. Loaded with a simply stunning new EP and with a series of live shows set to be announced, ICANTDIE’s ascension cannot be stopped.
