In 2006, the foundation stone for HANGATYR was laid in Bad Sulza, Thuringia. Initially influenced by the pagan hype of the time, BLACK METAL prevailed in its entirety by 2020 at the latest with the third album "kalt".

Inspired by German icons of the genre, with nuances from Norway's glorious nineties, the abysmally intense music of the consistent quartet conjures up an unmistakably unique atmosphere on their new album "Sumpf der Fäule" - produced with a strong sound by Alexander Dietz (Heaven Shall Burn) in his Chemical Burn Studios.
