CRYSTAL LAKE Signs To Century Media Records; New Single “BlüdGod” Out Now!

Crystal Lake has won over fans worldwide with an unequalled live show and an infectious brand of metalcore that weaves together tight riffs, gleaming production and screaming melodies along with guttural and impassioned vocals that both roar and soar. Releasing records internationally since 2014 on labels including Sharptone and Artery, Crystal Lake has become a fixture on the worldwide stage – and it feels like it’s only getting started.

Says Crystal Lake founder, songwriter, and guitarist Yudai “YD” Miyamoto on signing with the stalwart metal label:

“We grew up on many Century Media bands. We love its history and are happy to be part of that and make new history.”

Crystal Lake is currently working on its Century Media full-length debut, due for release in early 2025. It marks the album debut of recently minted vocalist, John Robert Centorrino, formerly of New Jersey deathcore band, Last Ten Seconds of Life. Centorrino made his debut with Crystal Lake in 2023, his first appearance with the band being Knotfest Japan in March 2023 followed by an extensive US tour supporting August Burns Red the same year.

Adds Centorrino:

“I am proud to be part of the Crystal Lake family and now the Century Media family. I grew up on bands like Shadows Fall and Suicide Silence. It’s a label that I’ve always wanted to work and that’s finally happened!”

To announce their signing to Century Media, Crystal Lake (rounded out by drummer Gaku Taura, guitarist Hisatsugu “TJ” Taji and bassist Mitsuru) is releasing its first single on their new label, “BlüdGod”, which was produced by the band and mixed by Jeff Dunne (Ice Nine Kills, Knocked Loose). It follows the band’s last two singles, “Dystopia” and “Denial // Rebirth” which introduced Centorrino to Crystal Lake fans. “'BlüdGod’ is about how we are slaves to the system”, says Centorrino. “We are what we sacrifice. The sacrifice that we think we are making: our hard work and our lives just to make money. Really, we are the money to these big corporations and what we sacrifice is ourselves to these blood gods.”
